IMPORTANT! BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE! 1.) Unzip http://www.jukeanator.com/temp/kiosk.zip to the root of your C:\ Drive (such that when all extracted, you have many files in C:\kiosk, instead of another kiosk directory) 2.) Go to http://www.jukeanator.com/servlet/FrontController?command=order and purchase a software license suitable for your use. You will then get an email from Tom Myers at tmyers1@yahoo.com with instructions on provisioning your software license to unlock all the functionality for JukeANator (NOTE: If the PC that will be running JukeANator is not, or will not, be connected to the internet, then you need to run GETCOMPUTERID.CMD in a Command Prompt window and then then send the file c:\diskid32.txt that was created to tmyers1@yahoo.com and wait for email 3.) Run GO.CMD and choose the location where to scan for music. Your music needs to be in the file folder convention as described in the website HOWTO: http://www.jukeanator.com/servlet/FrontController?command=howto OR: See EXAMPLE_HARD_DRIVE_MUSIC_LAYOUT.TXT that has the file listing of a drive that has music arranged and named for JukeANator. The KEY THING is to have Genre\Artist\CD Title\cover.jpg and at least one song following the Artist-xx-Song naming convention where XX is the track number. Navigate to LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT_VERSION\RUN c.) Click on Edit, New, String value d.) Overtype the highlighted value, "New Value #1" and enter "JukeANator", then Enter e.) Buy a keyboard encoder, such as the following from Hagstrom Electronics: http://www.hagstromelectronics.com/products/ke18.html b.) Also buy a 40-pin ribbon cable that hooks up to the board. You will use 2 pins for the ground that will connect to pin 8 of the pulse acceptor (INTERRUPT_NOT) and the first pin (e.g. 'e') that will connect to pin 7 of the pulse acceptor ($1CREDIT_NOT) You know it's working when you touch pin 7 to ground and you see a keystroke generated on the command prompt window of the computer. c.) Change Dip Switch 7 on the bill acceptor to be "1 pulse per dollar". This means that one keystroke will be generated when a $1 bill is accepted and 5 keystrokes will be generated when a $5 bill is accepted. d.) Ensure that Dip Switch 8 is set to OFF, or "Always Enable". e.) In JukeANator.properties, change "AcceptorType=" value from "MARS" to "PULSE" f.) Change the "AcceptorIncrementOnesKey=" value to be whatever keystroke corresponds to the keystroke generated by the keyboard encoder (e.g. 'e') NOTE: this is determined by which pin you use on the keyboard encoder.
